Want to install larger fuel filter - what year 350z do I get?

I would like to install the larger fuel filter of a 350z on my Maxima. What year 350z filter do I ask for?

Any Z32 fuel filter will work.

That's the 90-96 300ZX.

You never know, the 350z filter might fit.

Lots of Org Members have recommended the larger 350z filter because: 1) it fits and 2) because it lasts longer.

Ive never heard of anyone using the 350z fuel filter, but many have used the 300zx filter.
I did a search and couldnt find anything.
Your sure it was the 350z they were talking about?

I just replaced mine the other day with a 1996 300ZX fuel filter. It fit perfectly, even with my ABS.

What is the benefit of using the 300zx fuel filter, longer change intervals? I thought there was a problem shoe-horning it in when you have ABS. Any special technique required?

Yeah, longer change intervals. No problems even with ABS. I did this a few months back. The bracket the holds the fuel filter is too small for the 300z filter but if you just bend the bracket it will stay just fine.

Question: Are the max filter and the 300ZX filter the same price?

Whats the big deal with the 300zx filter anyway? If it last a little longer then yeah, thats great but if you stay on top of your maintenance then it woudln't matter what filter you have.
Unless getting thee 300ZX filter is the same price I don't see the point, unless you just don't want to deal with it........ or maybe its the nostalgia of having Z parts in your Maxima? If that is the case I would choose Z brakes. Wow, I'm just rambling on. Sorry if this post sounds arrogant, its only cuz its 5:37am, I'm on no sleep, and I am CRACKED the kcuf out. Wooha.

Umm, yeah, its the same price (~$12) and it lasts for 30K miles instead of 15K miles because it has more surface area to obsorb all the impurities in the gas. I haven't switched mine over yet, as I bought two new fuel filters when I bought my car (part of my initial maint.), and I'm going to use the second one here in about 2k miles, so next year I'll switch it over.

Maxima fuel filter: $12.08 http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...Category_Code=
300zx fuel filter: $12.08 http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...Category_Code=

Courtesy parts does not even list one for the 350Z (in tank?), so you are mistaken OP ...

Edit: found this fuel filter: http://www.overnightautoparts.com/ni...el-filter.html
Though it looks rather odd, and only two websites even claim to carry them according to google. The other one saying bulk orders only ...
