How bad is your PS/rack leak?

It took 1 year for my PS reservoir to go from hot full to hot min. But now I see fluid on the garage floor when it used to be bone dry.

Car only has 105k, I think that stinks. A Japanese car with that mileage should not leave fluids under it. Still think Toyota or Honda has no advantage?

My Honda power steering used about a pint every 3 months.

My Nissan used about 1/4 pint over the first three years of service.

A yearly top off I think is perfectly normal for any car's power steering system.

Yeah, but I wasn't referring to your '73 Civic on its 32nd Anniversary!

All kidding aside, what Honda, your Accord? What annoys me is the fluid on the garage floor. A 1998 with 105k shouldn't be leaving fluids behind imho.

95k here and its bone dry... speaking of Honda and leaks... good God... my old 92 Vigor developed about 3 different oil leaks by about 65-75K... one at the oil filter/cooler base, one at the distributor, and one hell of a rear main! The interior was nice, but that engine had a lot of issues, it just got so hot that it baked the hell out of all the cheap rubber honda gaskets and seals...

I'll stick with nissan's superior enginering capabilites from now on...

204k miles here and no leaks from anything, knock on wood. My brother's Integra with 140k miles leaks a little bit of oil though, hmmm. Realistically though, Nissan, Toyota, and Honda very seldomly show serious leaking problems. If you want to see real leaks, try driving anything made by GM.

I have a mild power steering/rack leak on my Max. ~119,400 miles, but I guess it's not so bad because the P/S fluid canister doesn't seem to be going down.

LOL
I had a 1973 CIVIC
Then a 1981 Accord
And the last Honda was a 1989 Prelude SI

Then along came Max.
