i just installed kyb grs with maxspeeds the other day and now whenever i go over a speed bump or something, ill get a little squeeking noise coming form the springs. is this part of the breaking in process?

 

Springs don't break in.

Did you seat them correctly, evenly in the upper rubber perch? Did you position the upper perch correctly with the word OUT facing out or in line with the strut lower mounting flange? Did you use spring isolators?

Maxspeeds are cheap springs (YGWYP4) and sometimes don't sit evenly which causes the coils to touch each other. That could also be the cause of your squeek.
