Compass/Temperature rearview mirror

I want to get the compass/temperature rearview mirror for my 2001 GXE. I'm a meteorologist and seeing the temperature makes me happy. Take a look at this site:

http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...Category_Code=

Why does it say it won't work on a GXE with the Comfort & Convenience package. Does anyone know what the issue is here?

Thanks.

Maybe the Comfort & Convenience package already has it?

Why would this not work on a 2000 SE? Whats the difference between a oo SE and a 01 SE? Can these come in Celcius instad of farenheit?

It's probably because of this:
• In early 2001 model year Sentra, Altima, Frontier and Xterra vehicles, an inside mirror with Channel Mount type was installed. The Channel Mount type was later changed to Wedge Mount type.

• EC Mirror can be installed only on the vehicles that have inside mirror with Wedge Mount type.

• Before installing EC Mirror on these vehicles confirm that vehicle is equipped with inside mirror with Wedge Mount type. Remove Original Equipment rear view mirror as described in Section 7.2 of the Installation Instructions.

So if you're a meteorologist, shouldn't you already know what the temperature is???

I checked this out and it says its for cars WITHOUT the Convenience package, it says YES, FOR CARS W/O the package. I'm going to see if it works on my late production 01 GXE mine is a base model without any options.
