Stock intake parts

I have a 95 GLE. I am wondering if anyone can show me a diagram (w/ labeled parts) of the intake system. I hear people talk about resonators and such but where are they? I looked in my haynes manual and did some searching but i cant find a good labeled diagram.

I am asking because i am going to do the hacked air box mod and i hear about removing resonators but i dont know where the resonators are.

Thanks.

Can someone at least tell me where the resonators are that most people remove when hacking the box.

i can't say with 100% confidence ... but it has always been my understanding that the resonators are the "dead end" boxes upstream of the air filter box.

dead end, meaning only 1 pipe into the box. i.e. there isn't air flow "thru" the box.

there is a resonator that sits below and to the left (looking from the radiator) of the battery.

there is also a resonator that sits to the immediate left of the battery (again, looking from the radiator)

i know that if everything is nearly "snug" on the air intake the car will idle wildly, i.e the ECU is hunting for idle.

perhaps this will bump the thread and someone else can chime in...
