7000K McCullogh H.I.D waterproof ballasts???

I just put on the McCullugh hid kit on my maxima replacing my silverstars and WOW what a difference. The kit is hardly used and sold to me by a freidn for $200.00. He told me that the ballasts and relays are waterproof so he just placed them in the wheel well and the othe in the wheel well next to the battery. Should i piut the ballasts in zip lock bags or anything?? Does anyone have and precautions to take. Thanks in advance....

Also last nite I changed all my hyper white bulbs that where in my corner lights(next to headlight) and in my clear bumper lenses. They looked decent when I had my Sylvania Silverstars in but when I put the HIDs in they looked brownish compared to the new hid's. So I changed them all to amber and rewired the clearence lights to stay on high all the time since i have a 96. I bever thought I'd say it but the amber lights look tight next to thesuper white/light blue of the hid's.

I don't think it is a good idea. Ballasts charge upto 25,000 volts at startup! O and ziploc bags and trash bags?? wtf are you thinking????

right right I was thinking I was just trying to make sure they ballasts don't get wet inside of the fenders under the hood.. They are just kinda sitting there. A friend told me last nite that it also isn't a good idea because the ballasts need to "breath" or get air flow.. So I guess I'll just leave them as is.. Thanks for the reply anyway
