No. Get a 19" wheel with a width of 8.5" and go with: 245/35/19. Some do 245/40/19, but it's not recommended. << I WANTED to do that for more sidewall protection, but it would alter the speedo way too much so I'm not going to anymore.

If you get 225 or 235's, make sure it's a 40 series profile sidewall for 19's. You will be very thankful later.

Explain why? I think 40 would look to big.

if you listen to "standard" plus sizing a 235-35-19 is the size you should run with a 19x7.5 rim.

I had this question a while back. I wanted 245/35/19, but I went with 245/40/19 and im very glad I did. I feel enough road vibration as it is, and I cant imagine going any lower. Just my taste.

I also get better rim protection with the 40's. I dont think its too big at all.

I'm going with a 255/35-19 on 19 x 8.5 with 35mm offset all around. They are not mounted yet so don't know about rubbing issues. But I'll let you know. The car is stock ride height for now, but that'll change soon too!

For 19x7.5 you'll want to go 225/35/19....

You have 8.5 width? What offset are you running? No rubbing whatsoever with the coilovers on a 245/40 series?

Mike did you take a ride in it as well or no? I should be only goin with H&R's, but might jump ship to S-Techs so curious on first hand thoughts/opinions, especially with such a low drop on Coilovers.

Hmm...interesting. Beautiful info sings to my ears. I wonder if I'd be able to pull this off with Illuminas/S-Techs...

I had 255/40/19's on my 6th gen until I replaced them with 20's. Now their on a 00 max with no problems at all. Only thing we had to do was remove that dust cap on the rears...

I sold a set of 255/40/19's to a buddy with an 00 Max. They fit fine. No rub and fills the wheel well up nicely. (stock height) I think they look better on his than they did on mine...

I have 245/40's on 19x8.5" wheels and nobody really notices that they are larger until I tell them. I actually like the look of a slightly larger sidewall personally, and as jaysmax04 said, it will give the rim more protection.
