Review Intrax wrapped around Tokicos, Post only your review on this setup!

Dropped my max off Andy's Thursday. Friday he was working on it. Picked it up today. All I can say is the drop is beautiful, right where it needs to be. Its sick how the front is almost level with the rear. I took it for a spin, tried to avoid all the damn city pot hole. All and all I give this the best suspension upgrade that my budget allows. The ride is beautiful, smooth like butter. I can tell you that by the look of my old setup they were oem and never been changed. 136,500 miles on them. My mechanic pointed out that the rear was totally shot. The whole assembly cam apart from the jacket. The mounts was still good, but I was not gonna go half a$sed on the set up, as I also purchased the KYB mounts and boots. My hole shot, lauching was more responsive, dramatically lowered my wheel spin. And it was easier to shift and lauch. I guess my only complaint wasnt from the springs, just the shietty roads here in NYC. AS I cornered the max handled so well, guess it was thanks to the new suspension and the 235/45/17 rims tire package. Now I need to find those Addco bolts and slap that RSB. Next I have to talk to Matt on the subframe connectors or was that warpspeed? But Matt will be contacted for any new upgrades, possibly his big brake kit. Now that io can handle better, need to stop as well.

Pics will be up in the next couple of days. I can bearly fit my index finger in the rear, the front i can put a finger with like 2-4 mm room to pay.

I am not worried of bottoming out, Or hitting the inner wheel well. I should be fine with this set up for some time to come.

i had the intrax and tokico setup.. and i swear, with in 6 months my shocks went out, intrax is hard ont he shocks because the travel on the front struts are so short. good luck, i changed to eibach, however i agree, the intrax has the best look. *crossing fingers* i hope the D2 coils come out soon

Well in my driving area it hasnt been a tramatic experience. Just that you have to take your time and keep clear of the pot holes. The goal is to know where your driving and how to get there with minimal stress on the suspension.

This in comparison to the eibachs are a better match to what I was looking for. Eibach are great, but for the lowered look and quality this is next in line.

its stiff, and can get bouncy at low speed where there are lots of bumps and pot holes in the road. I just went to Six Flags in NJ and NJ roads are very smooth, Now in the city its a little harse. But I love the ride. Cant complain too much on them driven about 300 miles or so. I have to be a passanger to actually see the ride quality. Its low and still have to settle. Got to get it aligned in about 2-3 weeks. enogh time to let it lower it self. Diffinately more sporter than eibachs. I will keep you guys posted as they drive on city roads.

As for receipts and reputable dealer, ebay id motorsportsdirect on ebay. If you look the only problems he had was people complaining when they wanted other options while shipping. Or ups screwed up, it happpends. Member since jul 2004.I paid via pay pal and everything is on file both on ebay and email and paypal. The guy on the ebay site is an authorised seller for the company. Only time can tell if in the end I get stiffed : hopefully not.

OK well its been a year time for an update

Well the max has settled, and i have to say that the setup is very harse. I bottom out everywhere in nyc. I cannot take this set up any more. I am going to have to go back oem height or if not eibach. It a pain driving my maxima. Sure it was fun in the beginning but now its just really ackward. THe look is really sexy but i cannot compromise ride feel. My 17's didnt hold up to the pot holes and i have two bent rims, due to low suspension travel.

Its a live and let live lesson.. Those in NYC dont get this setup... Chris you was right..

Anyone wants to buy my springs let me know... 150 takes them + shipping.

I daily drive Intrax w/ blown KYBs and 18's with 40 series tires. It isn't that bad but then again, most of my driving is interstate.

i got intrax springs, and should be installing my tokicos tomorrow......

the drop is sexy, but i think im gonna put the stock springs back on until i get the eibachs (maybe)...too rough on bumpy roads, and dont feel like killing my kit anymore, or killing my rims.

Thanks for the review, and beautiful color.

The only ones that can stand up to the Intrax' are the Konis, right?

Pics will be up when i get access to a camera. yeah this day in age and still not digital..

tokicos are holding up.. so far about 10k on them i believe. I push on every corner and it doesnt bounce like its blown. just a nice rebound 1 time action ... I think i might be putting my stock rims and see how that feels with since there is more tire on a 15 in than on low profile 45. My rims are bent in the front from all the pot holes.

I think this set up will be worth wild on places like mass or rhode island where the roads are taken care of and actually pay to maintain their roads. I been up on the turnpike up there and all i can say is but in nyc i think a higher or better set up is needed.. stock 4x4 is the way to go but doesnt look sexy or the performance gains. when i was ack on stock i could go fast and hit every bump and keep going..

I work @ Avis and i drive brand new cars all the time and its light and day with a nice tight feel and brand new suspension that just take nyc punishment.

i had this setup for one year..... used it for racing and granted it looked awsome but i killed those struts in no time..... 8 months ish or less. the fronts 6 months and rear i knew it cause when ever it was 20 degrees they froze, as if there was a block of ice inside and they wouldnt start to move until it was over 30 degrees ish. it felt like i was in a honda with cut springs with all the bounce (concidering that only the tires were acting like shock absorbers). now i have the eibach with koni's. its at full stiffness and the handling is so much better. i wish i went this route in the first place. even though with the eibachs the car is higher, at high speed the car doesnt feel like its lifting off the ground.

i love the look. the ride is a bit rough. but i guess i just got used to it. it was way worse with my heavy 18s on there. my light 17s make a world of a difference, but bumps are still a bit harsh.

btw, im on intrax with tokicos.
