question for anyone who has (or has opened) 95/96 red/clears...

the one (yeah that's right, one) i have was all clear when i found it in a junkyard, so i opened it up and painted it. it now matches the stock red perfectly, but that's not what this thread is about. my question is, did you leave the clear insert in the top in or remove it? (for those of you who have never opened one, it is an additional clear insert, my guess is it's to better disperse the light for the blinker or something, but who knows)

just curious, no big deal...

it blows because i have a driver's side and know someone who has the passenger side but we both want the other.

keep it in there. if you take it out, youll see the bulb and it will be a dot, rather than the entire section lighting up. not to mention, you will have severe white/clear matching problems.

i dunno, it doesn't make it completely clear like your opened altezzas, it looks like the 95 inners with the blurry white/clear squares. it matches better without it imo, that's why i'm asking.

have you seen real red/clears or are you just guessing?

From the look of his sig, it looks like he owns a set.

yeah as i said above he used altezzas which don't match the inners all that well unless you use altezzas for those. not to mention the silver edge on altezzas that is black on stock lights. not to be a jerk, but this thread isn't his f/s thread so please keep that to pm otherwise this will change without my question being answered. thanks

right, the set that i first made, which are the ones in the sig. pic, are the "beta" ones. asi produce then for others, i made that outer edge the black to match the inner lens. Even the David L's didnt match perfectly.

hey man, i dont want to jack your thread, so Ill pm way2fast.

very true. about an hour ago i opened up two windows, one with davidLs and another with mine at the exact same angle. the ONLY noticeable difference was the silver trim on the outer part.

what are you gonna do about yours?
