alternative tire sizing for stock 15's

i know the stock size is 205/65, but can you drop it down to a 205/55 or a 215/50 or 215/55 without a problem? 205/65 is a fat little tire. too much sidewall.

You can increase or decrease either way. That 205/65 is what's recommended for stock.Increase 65 to 70 and gain about 3 mph at 65mph if I'm correct.

im not worried about it throwing off my speedo. I just want to make sure there are no fitment issues or anything like that. I couldnt imagine they wouldnt work, but its better to ask and then spend the $$ rather than get them on there and find out they dont work.

i believe OE recommended specs is 215/60-15. there shouldnt be any fitment issues as long as the tires size is for 15's. i recommend getting the 215/60 tho. i ran 205/65 for a bit and it looked nasty on there, skinny and fat. not much of a contact patch either with 205's.

The SE's are 215-60-15. The GXE and GLE are both 205-65-15.

i like my 215/60r15...little wider but still fills up the wheel gap just enough w/ my lowered suspension...dont go w/ a small sidewall especially if its not lowered unless you are going for the monster truck look!
