yes, for those of you that remember; I attemped to do the KS swap myself and messed up the whole job by not retorqueing (i think that's how you spell it) the lower intake manifold right. I was soooo frustrated with the whole job, so I had my local mechanic do it. In my opinion, he overcharged me. But who cares, after 2 weeks, i have my car back and it runs REALLY REALLY good.

I once had a tranny rebuilt, but they got oil on the new clutch..so it chatterred right away.. so I took it back once and they are like 'it's fine.. drive it a few months and it should get better'... so a few months later it is even more ****ed and they say 'sorry.. warranty is over..'

I would've gone that route, but half of the org. told me not to. And if i'm not mistaken, someone just posted a couple of days ago that they just had total engine failure due to a bad tank of gas and they had done the KS bypass.

You did the right thing. I think that was actually 92SE_Dave that posted that but he posted it on april 1 so I assumed it was an april fools joke.

Yes that was me and it was an April fools joke. My car has been running better than ever with the resistor bypass. Everyone was telling me that my engine would blow up, so as an April fool's joke I said it did, then they had to lock up the thread because they all fell for it.

Um no one fell for it.
I glad someone repaired their car correctly and is running the engine as per oem specifications. Your car won't blow up in week or a month. But
I'm glad you are having fun with Wiking. Expecially since he get 95 octane.

I probably should get my KS replaced soon, right now I'm also rockin the resistor. Without it though, I'm afraid of burning something up. My EGT's were climbing up to 1600° almost, and that was only half throttle.

Brad. You are playing with matches after being doused with gasoline man. At the very LEAST buy one and bolt it to the exterior side of the block or something. Anything. I don't want to see another VE turbo parted out.

Brad, the harness is only so long. So you don't have much of a choice. Somewhere on the radiator side of the block is really the only convenient choice. I'm in no way saying this is a good sub for having it in the proper place. I'm only saying, it's better than what you have.

The EGT's are sky-high, and boost is almost instant, since I'm guessing its pratically fire spooling up the turbo. I can even smell my exhaust wrap burning from the heat. Basically, with it connected, I get 6psi of boost at part throttle, 1500° EGT's, and massive amounts of fuel being dumped for probably less than stock power.

At least it's just screw out, screw in and go.
TRUST me. It's 10x easier:
