thoughts on ebay sway bar?

I was looking for RSB's on ebay and came across this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

What do you guys think about this bar? It's design looks very similar to the Stillen bar, except that the "arms" appear to have a lesser "offset" than the stillen arms. It's made by a company called Top Speed Auto (topspeedauto.com), which i've never seen mentioned on the .org. They actually make a decent amount of other mods for the max. Anyone have thoughts or experience with this bar? Thanks.

i'd say get the progress one from cattman. i have and am happy with it. it was cheaper than the ebay one thru the group buy. how often are you going to adjust your sway bar anyways.

I agree would be nice to have an adjustable but how often would you say I want the back end a bit tighter today. If you can get one cheaper thru a GB I'd go with that.

If it were cheaper than the progress then sure get it, but you can get the progress for what $140 or so and it is a name brand and not just a stillen knock off.

I question the 1.5" diameter statement. Maybe get that clarified from the seller. My guess is that it's only 1.2" or so. I bought a similar one in Feb but haven't installed yet.

I actually did ask about the bar's specs, and they said that it is hollow, and weighs around 14-15 lbs. These are the same specs as the Stillen bar, that's why I've been thinking about this bar - also because it is cheaper than the Stillen one. I already had an Addco sway bar on for about 2 yrs, but I actually notice the minor laxity in the addco at smaller lateral forces due to it's bushings, and so i wanted to get the stillen-type of rsb because it lacks bushings. But i don't want to pay sooo much $$$ for stillen, but also don't want to waste more money on knockoff if it's not going to fit/perform nicely.

Maybe that includes the brackets. The one I got weighed 10.5lbs for just the bar.

I'm not sure why there is a discrepancy from the weight reported by the ebay sellers. BTW, I emailed addco and they said their bar weighs 13 lbs without the brackets.

When do you plan on putting on the bar? Does it install the exact same way as the stillen bar? Please let me know your impressions of the ebay bar. Thanks.

Just buy some replacement bushings. Or have some solid ones machined out of alumin or very hard plastic.

Topspeed made my muffler a few org'rs have them, Topspeed are pretty serious tuner people so I'm sure the quality is good.

As you can see I have the progress bar, not adjustable! but seriously how many times are you going to climb under there to adjust it?

I have a friend that used to work at topspeed and I used to go there to get all my parts for my old crx, they are here local to me. I never had a problem with anything they sold me, but that was in 1999, so...
