Replacing Resonator/Pipe and Muffler

Hi All. My i30 has been getting steadily louder for the past few weeks. I just took it to the local shop, and apparently there's a hole in the pipe on the resonator (right near the muffler connection). My muffler has seen better days too. Both of these are stock Nissan parts, my exhaust is completely stock. The local shop wants to replace them both with Walker brand parts (#21182 muffler, #56000 resonator/pipe assembly).

My goal is a quiet, smooth exhaust. Can anyone with experience offer suggestions on what I can best replace these two with? OEM Nissan (part #'s please!) or third party? Thanks!

thanks for the input so far guys! so, the sp2 would replace both the resonator and the muffler in one shot... i'm very untalented when it comes to making these mods work, anyone ever have someone else install a sp2? any hp gains?

yes, it replaced from the catalytic converter-back. its very easy to install, as long as you have the right tools. i did it right in my autos class. it was easier there because all the bolts on my exhaust are old and corroded, so we applied heat to them to get them off. other than that its pretty simple. yes i did feel slight gains, then again my muffler was falling apart. it sounds awesome though... ill be installing my y-pipe in two days, so i will see how they complement each other

if you dont want the noise from a catback, you could buy a resonated b-pipe and another stock muffler
