5th gen with G35C 17's (not 18's)
5th gen with G35C 17's (not 18's)
Just thought I let you guys see what the G35 coupe 17's look like on a 5th gen...I've seen them on a 4th gen and they look nice. I am using them as my track wheels (and winter wheels).
They are 17x7.5 with 30mm offset (front) and 17x8 with 35mm offset (rear)
(unlike the similar-looking G35 sedan 17's, which are 17x7 with 40mm offset)
anyhow...nothing particularly exciting, but thought a few people might want to see...they look "small" on the 5th gen IMO
Don't have any great pictures of the setup.....but here area couple
at the track next to an M3

Putting my street wheels/tires back on after getting home.....kind of shows comparison vs. the G35 18's...there is more wheel gap since I am using lower-profile tires than spec for auto-x.....

far-away shot

Damn Irish, ya need to get some better springs to keep that body roll in check- I see you scrapping your door handles around the corners :PPPP Looking good, I actually like the 17s better than the 18s. Any idea on how much they weight and their offset ?

weight of the wheels (the 17x8 ones) is about 22 lbs by my measurement (with bathroom scale!) vs. 24 lbs for the 18's and 25lbs for my stock 17's
The tires are only 21 lbs each, so fairly light.
offsets are mentioned above.
Dont you think that it would make more sence to put the G35 rears on the front of your Maxima? The rears are wider than the front on the G35 because they are the drive tires where as the drive tires on your Maxima are the front tires.

Of course, I have the same size tires (225/45/17) on all four, so it was for handling purposes only....
Big Du....if you find a free site that will host a 15mb wav file for me, I'll post it there...
