Should the Keyless Remote make the lights blink???

My lights blink when I lock the doors with the remote but they don't blink when I unlock the door. The only thing that happens is the dome light comes on. Is it supposed to blink when I unlock the doors?

I'm fairly new to the community & not an expert with maximas but mine only blink when I lock the car. I assume that it is supposed to do that.

Mine starts up, drives to me, and asks me where I want to go. Must be an upgrade

Mine just pops the interior light on unlock, blinks on lock. There are some threads here talking about hacking an alarm beep...

I've only had the max for a little less than a month now and I've had the remote for a shorter time than that. I know people with 5th gens that blink so I asked the question. Sounds pretty logical to me........

yeah, there was a wirte-up somewhere about putting some alarm or beeper to go with the lock and unlock from the keyless entry.

Also, would there be any way to wire so the rear windows also go down, or the sunroof too? that would be crazy! like she knows your coming and all ready to go!?!? seriously, can anyone who is more technically inclined than me look into this? Major props to whoever can!!!

That would be cool. Yeah, if anyone with the skills to do something like that could look into it, that would be a hot mod to have.

Well my dome and key ring lights don't come on when I unlock the car because I have a fried BCM. Didn't know a key ring light mod could cost you 800 bucks. Screw that, I'm not fixing my lights...unless I get a BCM from the junk yard.

If people simply read their owner's manual, a lot less questions would need to be asked.
