E36 was made from 92-99 . There is a US spec and the Euro Ellipsoids. I would never put the US spec but its the cheaper route. I own an M3 and have a set of US spec sitting in the garage but would never put them on the maxima since I don't think its a good mod unless using projectors such as ZKW's, Bosch, Depo or Inpro like I have in my M3. They can be bought at www.umnitza.com I have Zkw Ellipsoids with DDE's you can see them in my sig on my m3. There is a big alignment issue, the best ones on the board that I have seen are from Awsm66 and craig B and some other just can't think of their names.

Not that it matters in the long run, but might as well be exhaustive.

E36 - 92 Coupe and Sedan 92 Convertible - E30
E36 - 93-98 Cp, Sd, Conv
E36 - 99 Coupe and Convertible 99 Sedan - E46

150 bucks would seem reasonable...if I wasn't broke! I am going to take a journey down to Flint and see if I can pull a set of lights off a junked 3 series for 20 bucks.

How difficult is the fitting and wiring process to mount these? Alos, what size bulbs are in thoes anyway? Can the stock harness ( which I have heard is not so great ) hold up with the new lights?

Fitting isnt hard at all with the us spec, the euro spec are larger and may be a lil tougher but im not sure. Bulbs are 9005, and 9006. No the stock harness will not work, because you are going from 1 bulb per headlight to 2 bulbs per headlight. 1 for low beam, and another for highbeam. On beemers all 4 bulbs are on for high beams as far as I know. As long as u know your wiring, and are familiar with relays you will be fine.
Or if you want I have a set of US spec E36's and the harness already made up you can have for say $100.00 +shipping along with 3 sets of bulbs, and cut brackets all setup for our maximas.
