headlight settings

headlight settings

anyone know how to change the settings on the headlights, i remember the dealer mentioned there were settings on them when i picked up my dads '05 SE last week. My family now has 4 maximas and has been through 7 of them total....anyone lookin for an 00 silver se in the ct area? btw, very nice car, much quicker than my 00

It's under the settings menu you access through the info center in the dash.

to get to it you might have to put it in park and pull the e-brake...

In order to get to the settings you don't even have to be in park. You just have to be at a complete stop. Hit the settings button until you get to Personalized Settings and scroll through those. There is a setting called Auto Headlamp sensitivity. It ranges from 1 to 4. 1 is the least sensitive to light (lights don't come on unless it's totally dark out) and 4 is the most sensitive to light (lights come on when it's a fairly dark, cloudy day).

There is also a setting where you can change when the auto lights will turn off. I believe it's called Auto Headlamp Delay Off. You can change the amount of time the auto headlights stay on after you turn the car off and shut the door.
