Noticed a little hole in my K&N cone filter...how long can I go like this? **pics**

I guess the hole was created from the filter rubbing against something in the engine bay. Anyhow I am going to assume that the hole has been there for a few months now...should I worry about any major damage? Also do I need to stop using the filter right away, or can I wait on a deal for another filter?

I would get a filter ASAP. That filter is just welcoming debris into your engine. Go on Ebay and look for a K&N filter they are fairly cheap. That is where I got mine.

pretty much if you can see through the hole, crap can get through. i'd get a new filter, and find out where it's rubbing in the engine bay to prevent it from happening again.

I cant see the pix but if you never took out the screen in you MAF then dont worry about an problems. You wont ingest anything with it there. Replace the filter when you can, but its no big deal.

Just plug the hole with duct tape or something. If the hole is small.
