05 Clutch pedal-heavy feel

my brother just purchased a 05 6 speed 2 weeks ago, it has about 500 miles on it and the clutch pedal is very heavy to press in(required no effort when we picked up the vechicle with 7 miles on the odo)....car was build in 03/05, anybody have any ideas before we head out to the dealer?
thanks
greg

I just got a '05 6sp a few weeks ago, and the clutch felt much harder to press compared to my '95 5sp. After awhile I just got used to it, and now my 95 feels like its too easy to press.

Hope this helps.

I have an 04 with almost 30,000 miles on her. The clutch effort has not noticably changed (I can tell no difference) in all of those miles. I do notice that the gears are somewhat harder to shift and will soon be changing the lubricant in the gear-box/transaxel. That should cure that problem. Will be using Redline MT90 which is a GL-4 (the proper) synthetic gear lube.
