Looks very nice! I would paint the corner lights to match the housings, looks out of place otherwise.

Thanks, the corner lights will be be given the AE treatment in the future. I'm too tired to do anything more this weekend.

I know that frustration. If you've taken apart the front end as much as I have, I bet you can take it all apart (grill, headlights, corner lights) within 5 minutes now.

Any more beam pattern pics? High beam?

Sorry, that is the only beam pattern pic for now. I forgot to take a high beam pic but it's about to be dark soon so I'll snap a pic of the high beam for you.

Here are the additional cutoff pics. Also, the upper foreground shield has been removed from the projectors.

kevlo911: They are Xtec 6000k H3 HID fogs soon to be retroed into something different. (next project)

im not fond of the black housing looks out of place IMO... Also the cutoff seem rather blurry, or not focused very well. Is this the way RS6 projectors are?

RS6...aren't they running valeos?

did you happen to bend the shield at all? the cut off seems fuzzy..but there's a lot of color there.

also not to be a PITA...but the pass side one can use a slight adjustment counterclockwise so it's even with the driver side (cam angle?)...otherwise it looks ok.

RS6 was termed from the HID community to dub a Audi A6 bi-xenon projector made by Hella. The shield is indeed bent for color and the trade off is a slight drop in sharpness. The projector cutoffs are even in person so perhaps its just the angle of my pic. Thanks for your feedback.

ahhh ok...the color is definitely there...just weird to see the fuzz on the cut off.

yeah the cam was at a bit of an angle so hard to tell. looks good.

A lot of bi-xenon projectors dont have the sharpest cut-offs. The sharper ones you come across (S2000, Valeo) are only single-xenon. Rather have high beams than an extremly sharp cutoff. Cant really even tell that much in person, its still sharp.

any reason for that? a bi-xenon should still have the shield there similar to the single beam projector. only difference is that it moves w/ a little motor for the high beam...but in low beam setting it should still have a decent line for a cut off.

also meanbean mentioned that he bent his shield a little to get the extra color. that makes the beam pattern a little blurry.

Its just a trait of most the bi-xenon projectors. Only one that has a nice sharp cuttoff and is bi-xenon is the TL projectors, but they are expensive and can be hard to find.

Yes bending the shield will make it worse, but they arent very sharp to begin with. Mine are similar but not as blurry. I havent bent the shields much at all, mainly because they already have a decent amount of color to start with.

If you want razor sharp cutoff with incredible color then go for the LS430 or Evo8 projectors. Those projectors are the bomb (better than S2000) except the price is just too high. Thanks to everyone for their feedback and compliments.

Remember that the lens and bowl design are the most contributing factor to the beam pattern/cutoff. Some people have already tried swapping out the lens and produced incredible results.

I agree.

the Black out doesnt seem to look as beasty as if it was just AE modded. Maybe completely blackout clearance light could help the look but I still dont like, but good job on the projectors and getting them to fit and work properly.

it actually it looks kinda devilish nowthat I think about it.

I wonder how it would have looked in you painted it body color. I still think just AE modded is the sharpest look.

Here are some more beam pattern/cutoff pics that should convince everyone of the superiority of HID projectors.

Stock reflector housing w/ 100w halogen 9007 bulb - low beam

RS6 projector w/ 4100k HID D2S bulb - low beam

RS6 projector w/ 4100k HID D2S bulb - high beam
