how do you take out the actual headlight
Follow above advice.
Take out batter take out corner lights, then you'll see 2 bolts, take those out, and there are 2 more close to the radiator, you'll prbably need to unbolt the fuse box to get to the bottom bolt ( I always had to). pasensenger side is the same minues fuse box removal.
I recommend baking your headlights with some turkey pot pie, good thing to eat while painting

guys I gotta problem...i was upgrading my stock headlights to some Silverstars, but while I was taking out one of the old headlights on the driver side, I accidently busted the bulb in the housing...now i have a whole bunch of glass and residue inside the housing that I can't get out...what would be the best (easiest!) way to get all of that stuff out??

I dont know how to desribe better and I cant find a pic, I'll snap one tommorow if you still havent found out but best I can say is look around, the corner is easy to get but the other two could be tricky to find.
(driver side)stand in front of the head light look behind the head light, to the lest most of the head light you should see some stubby screws the ac line should be kinda in the way.or down by the fuse box in fornt of it you'll see a screw its kinda blocking thats what they look like.

getting the cover off will require baking or using a heat gun. taking the headlight out would be easier. start off by taking the corner light out first. then there are two 10mm bolts directly on the side of the headlight housing where the corner light was covering. then directly behind the headlight on the side towards the mid. of the car are two 10mm nuts. also you have to unsnap the grille off the headlight. after that the headlight will come out.
