does anybody make a quiet exhaust?

my 96 needs pretty much all new exhaust (y back). is there an aftermarket one that's quiet, or should i go with all stock parts?

i don't really care about performance...

If you dont care about performance then go with stock post/check in the forsale section you should be able to get it for fairly cheap.

it's not that i don't care about performance at all, i'm just worried about price. if i can pick up some aftermarket stuff for around the same price, i'll go for it.

i just don't want it to sound.... ricey (sorry if i offended anybody, i'm more of a domestic guy, i don't know how you guys react to the "R" word)

edit: it also seems like a lot of people on here like to race, or at least add performance parts. i couldn't really care less about racing this car (well, i did challenge my friend with a malibu maxx haha). right now the car has a horrible exhaust leak and it's loud to the point where it bothers me...

I feel you price is first. You could get a y-pipe from warspeed they still have the GD going on you just call them and tell them from the org to get a good discount, then a muffler shop should be able to weld you up a new catback for a reasonable price.

either that stock exhaust

keep you eye out in the for sale for some one getting rid of theres for cheap.

Stock cat-back with a cattmann y-pipe (or stock-y-pipe, but that would be more expensive) would be the quietest setup i can think of. My friend got an OEM catback for $350. The cattmann y-pipe is $350 on custommaxima.com

+1 for this setup. That's what i'm running now, a whole lot cheaper than stock, better quality and more power. Excellent sound too with the OEM muffler.

OEM > All Where quietness is the issue.

the b-pipe is the the exhaust pipe right after the cat and before the muffler, you can get this stuff from many places, you can buy the warspeed y-pipe on the forum (if the group deal if still going on) or ebay, the b-pipe you can also order from warpspeed at warpspeedperformance.com
