Anyone use a FMIC with inlet/outlet on same side? Spearco 2-115

I am wondering if anyone uses the Spearco 2-115 FMIC or any other FMIC with the inlet/outlet on the same side? This would reduce length of piping to the IC. If not what are your reasons for not using this type of FMIC vs a "normal" FMIC? A few of the DSM guys are using these Spearco 2-115 FMIC and are running 10 seconds 1/4's with them.. Just want to see any benefit with this vs. A FMIC with inlet on one side, outlet on the other.. Thoughts/Opinions?

Thanks,

-Nick

It mainly has to do with getting the piping passed the sheet metal on the front of the car. Not a whole lot of places that are able to be cut through

i love how this turbo is routed.

the turbo is mounted really low and has a "forward y" shape.

Are there and clearance issues with the forward design in regards to exhaust piping, cross members, radiator, motor mounts, etc?

Seems like you would need an oil pump too.
