Would 235-50/17 tires fit on my stock GLE rims?

I'm looking at Pirelli Pzero. The stock tire size is 215-55/17.

i believe the gle wheels are 17X7 which is in spec for a 235/50/17. i use to ran this tire size in michelin a/s sports. the tire is taller and will fill up the gap a little more but the tire obvioiusly looks bigger as well. you can check for pics on my homepage for the 235/50/17 look but i ended up going to a 17X8 wheel in a 245/45/17.

Drop the car and go with 234/45/17 or 225/40/17

i always wondered why people did not get bigger tires to make the wheel well go away. I guess some do. I wish I had known that before i bought new Coopers 215's

I don't understand the obsession with looks, if you need tires, go for them. A 50-profile will give you more cushioning to help keep that GLE ride
