Black Magic Tire Tint??

I was checking out some detailing supplies today and I saw this product called "Black Magic Tire Tint" that costs around $6. Basically you rub it on your tire sidewalls and it gives them a bit of color. It says that when the sun shines on your tires they will shimmer in the color you buy and that the effect lasts a few weeks. Has anybody heard about or tried this product? I'm unsure if it would look weird or not since the tread would still look regular. Not sure how bold the color would be either.

That stuff is sooo rice its not even worth thinking about it. Seriously.

ps. Maybe that stuff is par for the course down in the Fort. The Port Arthur kids wouldn't be caught dead with it on their cars.

Yup, very ricey - don't use it, please. Plus I heard that when it slings off the tires, it's hard to get it off your paint.

Went to LU and lived in the city for a couple years after. I know the crazy Iranian bike mechanic at Petries, Farzam.

As does poorboys bold and bright and trim restorer (although I used that on trim not tires...I'm sure it would work well on tires too though).

I have some of this stuff .. a red bottle and green bottle .. but never actually used it. To tell you the truth, I dunno where it came from. I think someone gave it to my girlfriend, who put it with the rest of the car cleaning stuff.

Maybe I'll try it this weekend if I get bored.

(of course, I'll try it on someone else's car, not mine =)

Magic Magic's tire tint stuff makes your tire look old and yellow after it wears off! I still have like 2 bottles left and I don't know what to do with them!
