what did you use to make 3" hole for CAI?

what did you use to make 3" hole for CAI?

sorry this is another intake thread but i don't have many options on cutting tools so i'd like to see what everyone used!

A power drill with a cutter will make you a nice hole. The cutter attachment is a few dollars. Get a metal cutter.

Hole saw 3.25 inch from lowes 20 bucks or less.. talking 2 seconds

i used a drill, with a bit, and just made 50 holes around in a circle and popped the piece out.... oh btw i have an injen, lol

Injen doesn't use a hole, it just sticks out near the front

What, you guys had to make a hole? I thought all Maximas came with the 3" CAI hole from the factory. HAHA

1) permanent marker and compass to draw that circle

2) electric drill with 1/2 bit

3) electric jig saw with metal cutter blade

4) dremel grinder.

the whole job took an hour, from taking off original intake to getting the new one on.

ok so i went out today and got my hole bit... got a 3.25 in bit and i'm gonna try and put it in either thursday or friday, will you guys post pics so i can see exactly where you did the hole. From just glancing at it it looks like i'm going to have to relocate one of my fuse boxes for proper fitment

Yeah, i know. that's why i asked if he did some custom setup. He said he had an injen, and yet he drilled a hole. it didn't make sense...
