Removing bumper cover.. Is there a certain tool or unknown size?

Talkign rear bumper here, Im removing the bumper cover but none of my sockets seem to fit the nuts/bolts underneath the trunk rail. Im wondering if its a special size or or shape. Its hard to see but the nuts almost look square, anyone hear of this or know what im talking about?

<---Tried that too

I just looked in the 97 and 00 FSM and none say anything about special tools. Both say there are clip, nuts, and bolts to remove. Maybe you need sockets that have more or less "points" in them.

I popped the trunk to find a piece of trim to remove and behold there was some 10mm bolts to remove so Im thinking "sweet" this should be easy. I could tell that there was some bolts behind the back lights and underneath this trim and all I had to do was pop them off and run to hardware store and get some replacements.

Well I noticed that they were just solid rust.. I mean SOLID rust.. put the socket on them and it just slid off, rust was every where. Cant even get a hold of them with a set of vice grips they are soo rusted. I would have to dremel them out then I would have to tap them outta of the holes.

Then I thought forget this, I ll just take to the shop.

Sigh another problem.
