Free Mechanics Inspection By Potential Buyer

She paid for a full inspection of the maxima, after the mechanic intially drove it and said it seems perfect, great car.

She still wanted a full inspection.

They reported a small leak in the lower radiator hose ($25)
Rear Struts Shot ($~450)
Front Left Strut Plate Shot (???)
Small Crack in Crank Case with minute oil leak (Big $$$)

Needless to say I didnt drop the price, nor did she want to pay $4800.

95 Max GLE 142k.

Good to know EXACTLY what is wrong with the car, but I am not going to lower the price significantly so Im just looking for a new buyer.

crack in front case? uhhhh, they're full of sheit... well probably are anyway..

the rest of it can be fixed for about $150 in parts and 2 hours of time.
hardly worth complaining about.

i dont know how your gonna get $4800 for a 95 max with 142k on it. Should have been like ok I'll drop it $500 and taken $4300. Don't think your gonna get much more than that for it anyways but who knows. Good luck with selling it and that mechanic is ripping you off for those rear struts. I paid $250 for front and rear struts/shocks (KYB GR-2's) which are better than stock.

I am not going to do anything about it. When cars get to 150k miles, stuff starts to wear down. It still runs just as strong as the parents 2000 maxima.

Maximas in oregon are very compe***ive, they always go for 100-200 over blue book or they are beat up.
