Interesting concept. More useful for turbo and strip applications though.

Vishnu makes a kit for the Evo's like this. This way is probably way cheaper though.

Seems so complex. Why not just tune the car to run on 93 or add a couple gallons of 100+ every tank or something?

nice find

Only issue I'd have is weight... but if you run the 93 down enough, it won't matter

nice setup Jim. Is the A/B line separated by a ball joint or what?

Your setup works for a returnless setup, however if you "Open B..Close A" on a return setup, you'd be pumping race fuel to the stock tank and prematurely kill your stock fuel pump by having the stock system deadheaded with no FPR.

A FPR before A and a valve post fuel rail should work similar, right?

That should work, I never really though too much about it when I used it on the 4th Gen because I just had it setup for nitrous on race gas only.

Never thought a returnless system would make some things easier. Its just a way to build a fuel system cheaper, certainly not better. I don't like the idea of the fuel sitting there allowing the engine to heat it up.

Yeah, your FPR is on the pumps housing, so it just dumps fuel when A is closed. However, on the return setup, the safety bypass valve will be open and overheating the pump. Not sure how long that takes to kill a pump though.

Yup thats why I don't worry about it, it can bypass to its hearts content. Actually when the car is idling its almost %99.9 bypass anyway.

I have tried using straight 114 and setting up the a/f for it but it didn't really gain me anything N/A of course, but its nice to have the option.

What I was thinking though is just put 94 in the cell and pump out the stock tank at the track to save weight. However, I am a bracket racer and with 20 races coming this season I want to be consistent more than try and gain a 1/10 or two so its not really important.

Right now I am running in the 13.6 range with full interior and all I change when I go to the track is the 2 front wheels, 10 mins and I'm ready.

Here is a pic of the front line of IHRA mod class I am running in, (35 in the class) check out their dial on the windows. Mostly 10 and 11 sec v8 cars, super consistent and years of experience racing, however its a challenge. Most of these guys have r/t's in the teens so its not like racing against the imports.

I'll let you know if I ever win an event, only got to second round on sunday. Payout is $600 for win $300 for second, $100 for semi's and $50 for 1/4 finals. The street cars this year is only trophies so I need a challenge.

Here is the point standing from one race so far. Only 1 point but its better than most of the others.
