can CV cause swimmy handling

what can cause this boating feel in the front end of my car? my right CV clicks a bit when i take a hard left turn sometimes. checked my tire pressures, jacked the car up and tugged on the wheel in every direction...no wierd play anywhere. one place that i dont know how to realy check is the CVs, or anything else that might cause this floaty feel. is it possible something is loose or broken under my right front side?

If the axle clicks you need to replace it, but thats not whats causing your floaty ride. Firmer new struts will tighten up the ride and increase your handling. You should also make sure your tie rod ends are tight and the car is aligned correctly.
