My car has had a low whistling type sound for a while now. It was noticeable when accelerating at lower speeds. I thought it was a leak on the intake at first, but I checked and all was fine. I had my belts changed out this weekend because they were looking a little hurt. The next day I noticed that the whistle sound was gone. I kind of got used to it, but I am glad that it's gone . The last time I changed out the belts it was at 70k, the car is now at 152k.
