anyone ever buy the replica rims off ebay?
so im in the hunt for some news rims for the max. i really like the way chrome 18" g35 rims look and the silver ones too. so i found this auction on ebay that sells them for less than $600 for chrome. they are not real g35 rim, but they look just like them. so has anyone ever bought anything like this or ever bought from the seller?

well, i'd stay away from chrome rims on an import in general...i have the exact same car as you, and believe me, chrome doesn't look right. As ar as the quality, that's also up in the air, especially from a no-name company. You wouldn't want to go the cheap route and have your $600 investment bend after the first bump.

I bought a replica rim for my 2k SE from these folks, and it looks just like the rest. only recognizable difference is the centercap, but since I had the old one it didn't much matter. They were cool to do business with. I called them directly since I only needed one rim. Look for O.E. Wheel Distributors (i can't remember the number).
The price seems pretty reasonable, but I would worry about the chrome possibly peeling off. The rim quality will probably be about what any other rim quality would be if you spend $600.
If it is worth it to you to have sweet rims for a couple of years, then you may have to paint them or re-dip them later, I would get them.
Personally, I would get silver grey from the same place. Those look hot and are about $150 less.

That chrome center cap does not match well with the gunmetal rims, but you can always change those out. You might want to ask the seller what the offset is of these rims are. I though the g35c rims were 18x8 and not 18x7.5.
I liked the Chrome at first, but I'm leaning more towards the gunmetal. My only thought is the center caps. If they can make caps for the chrome pair, surely, they can make a set for the gunmetal??? Has anybody seen any anywhere? I know you can't make them out of old 2000 Max GXE/GLE (?) wheels, but I really don't care to get into all that.
Two weeks ago, I found a wrecked g35. They wanted $700 for the gunmetal type, which also came along with 8 mounths of break dust, because apparently, the last owner never washed is/her G35..
