Removing rear seat (lower cushion)

Okay, I've been working at this for over an hour now and I just can't get it so I figure there has got to be something I'm missing. I've looked at the autoparts guide, but all it says is to just lift up and I've tried that about 17 times now with no luck. The passenger side clip came out with little problems, the drivers side, however, is being evil. I have tried everything I can think of (using a screw driver to pry the plastic casing out, yanking on it as hard as I can, releasing it from the back, along with the less severe methods of course). To be clear, I'm looking on a way to remove the rear seat, lower cushion, driver side front clip on a 94 Maxima GXE. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Mike

if you haven't...try removing the seat back first and see if that helps any.

use something broad, strong and flat to get under the seat and try to quickly "pop" the seat locks, rather than pry - they can be extremely hard to get sometimes.

just jank on it as hard as you can. the seat back is bolted in under the seat bottom so dont try to take that off without the bottom off. if you got the one side loose you should be able to get both

Also, try and get your hands right on either side of the lock, to exert the maximum amount of force in the area it is needed. Yank harder than you think you have to, its a PITA the first time. Now my seats won't stay down, lol.

are you sure you got all of the bolts out? I would take the top part off, too, just to be sure you didn't miss any.

It took me all of 15-20 minutes to take the back seat and the passenger seat out of my car Friday night.

basicly there are six bolts that are holding the back seat together,

two for the sides, two for the middle, one for the arm rest and the rest is clips,
