Nice long weekend...took some pics.

Well, this weekend it's pretty nice in NY so I decided to take her to get washed and took some pictures today...unfortunely it rained last night so there were leaves and gunk all over the car today. But, anyway...

I bought this car about 1 month ago. I found her parked in a Chevrolet dealership in Brooklyn as I walking to grab something to eat. I bought this 1990 Maxima SE 1 hour later.

I have since added some 4th gen wheels bought from a fellow org member in NJ.

The well worn in interior

Here you can see where it looks like the previous owner decided to eat the seat belt. One of the many things that needs to be replaced.

I have mild plans for this car...nothing crazy. After the regular maintenance stuff, she's going to get a decent audio set-up, as the current BOSE set-up doesn't work. The struts need to be replaced so I'll swap in some Eibach's and Tokico's (it already has tokico's up front but stock blown units in the rear, which I found odd) and from then who knows.

After taking these pics, I'm still suprised how well these cars have held up in the looks department over the years.

Share some of your pictures if you've taken some lately.

hey lucky, your really "lucky" to have found such a clean 3rd gen in NYC.. if you havn't noticed, they are all beat up on the outside, and messed up on the inside around here. enjoy

btw, if you get a chance, get the front glass tinted as well.. would look alot better IMO

^^^ Thanks for the comments guys.

And Joe you're right I really seem to have lucked out. Most of the 3rd gens I see around here are seriously jacked up. Hopefully, I can keep it somewhat decent looking.

And that tint does need to be fixed I know. Add that to the list of things needed to be done.

The car looks like it is in very good shape. Those wheels add a nice touch, too. Subtle things like that are what make these cars appeal to me.

My seatbelt looked about the same and I took it to the dealership and they replaced it for free under the lifetime seatbelt warranty. I had to do a little arm twisting on the service manager, but eventually they buckled. Both front seat belts are one unit, so the passenger side is replaced as well.

Great, one less thing I have to spend money on. I wasn't aware of the lifetime warranty.

The .org is the best.

Did you read my post?

The front two seatbelts are all one piece and are replaced at the same time. It is not likely that anyone would pay that much attention to the rear seatbelts. I usually have my center ones tucked underneath, anyway.

lol

And oddly enough, there was a 5th gen parked right in front of the 6th gen. So, there were 3 Max's parked right next to each other.

Now go get more mod (after make sure everything else working properly). I suggest starting with Y-pipe from WarpSpeedPerformance (www.warpspeedperformance.com). Mention maxima.org member and you can get the old style for $160 shipped.
