Strange connectors.....Heated seats?

Well I pulled off the shift boot to do some wireing in my 93 SE, and to my suprise, there is two connectors in there that do not connect to anything. They appear to be going to the front driver and passenger seats. I have seat that I have not seen before in any other maxima (there hard to explain, there leather and have a strange patern of cushion on them, I will take pics) Is it possible these are heated seats that dont have anywhere to plug in? If no what are those connectors for?

But why are they hooked up into the bottom of my seatsand then they just go and end? By the way I don't have power seats, if that makes a difference or not.

my 1991 SE was actually wired for heated mirrors, the connectors at least, on the door and only GXE maximas had heated mirrors

I think all 3rd gens are wired for power seats, even if they don't have them. If your seats are leather and do not have power, they are probably dealer installed leather. It is usually "poofier" than stock and usually comes with leather door inserts that the factory leather doesn't have.

Oh, and the SEs have heated mirrors, I don't think the GXEs do. I am not sure what year the breakdowns are for that, though. I have had two 92 SEs and both had heated mirrors.

my 93 GXE came with heated mirrors, and i am pretty sure that all the maxima's came from the factory with the plug for the power seats plugged into a dummy connector, cause mine did too and i have manual seats

Interesting. So I have dealer installed leather in my car. No wonder it didn't last. It seems more like pleather that ford uses. I have the leather lined door inserts and no power seats.

All maximas have the wiring for power seats. But on non-powered seats, Nissan puts dummy plugs in the seats so the wires will have someplace to go. Even if it's nowhere. Probably protects the connector from damage/corrosion etc...
