Should I attempt to install LEDs?

LED How To

I saw this and am interested in doing this. It says it is for a 97-99 Max but may work for the 95-96. Has anyone done this in a 95-96 Max.

It says it is moderate difficulty. Has anyone that has never done LED's,tackled the job and completed it? I am just wondering b/c I have never done it before and wondering if I should do it. It doesn't look that difficult but I am sure something could go wrong.

Also, are the LED in that car blue or white? They look white but have a blueish tent to them.

i have done it, i have a 95, the leds are whatever color you buy. i bought blue and they came with resistors. Its not hard just time consuming, the most is taking your car apart.
if you want more help on it, ask MANUALMAXIMA
he is the LED man!

good luck

i did my window switches and that was easy but time consuming, and i blew the drivers side board in the process. be careful about touching the two together. i forgot about shot circuiting.

Did you do the dash guages in yours? Did you happen to do it like the instuctions in the link that I had in the first post?
I believe I will satrt with the window switches then work my way to the dash. Would that be a good idea.

i read that how-to, and I plan to replace all the green LEDS (doors, HU, dome-light, etc.) with bright-whites, somewhere around the summer. as long as you have a basic understanding of electronics and how leds work, soldering, a bus load of patience, and enough grey matter to take apart a car and put it back how you found it (I think if someone can make a clean install of a HU this shouldn't be a problem).

i modded my gauges using the link on that site, the geocities one - very helpful; i used that petah site jus to remind me which side is the positive side on the LED -_-; i had never done anything to the gauges before, but the dash is one of the hardest and longest things to do i think. good luck on it when you do it. i plan to do the window switches later on - i love puttin random LEDs in random places in my car =D

I have not done these yet, but I have done everything else except the dome light, and the lights for when you open the doors

I think its stressfull. Make sure you are not in a hurry.
TAKE YOUR TIME.

Or if you do not what to do the door switches, send them to me (with the LEDs) and I will install them for you. For a small price of course...
