Nissan burger on speed grille

Has anybody installed the Nissan burger in a Speed grille? As you know, I already have the Speed grille installed, and just recieved the nissan front emblem. Problem is the emblem doesn't go flush in the grille. Do you modify the emblem or the grille to make them fit together?? please guys help me out...
I know Pal379 has the grille and the emblem just as I want, but I haven't been able to get in touch with him. So anybody that has an idea, every comment will be appreciated.

Which emblam did you buy? Mine is like 5.5" width. It has 2 prongs on the back of it. I wedged it between the mesh and it holds up great.

these are the numbers on the back:
P/N 3800
65890-5Z000

Hope this helps ya.

p.s. i just ordered the same lower grille as you, cant wait for it to arrive. Stillen is on B.o. though because I want the chrome one and all they had left were the brushed.

But did you use the double sided tape? Because of the outer edges on the arcs in the emblem, the tape doesn't touch the grille. My emblem is the same size, but instead of having those 2 prongs it has two cross shaped rods. Also when you say wedge, do you mean bend the prongs to hold it to the mesh??

No tape, the way you see it, thats how its on. I wedged the prongs between the mesh holes. Its plastic, so if I bend the prongs, they will snap off

take a look at this, hopefully u can visualize this drawing: <.><><><><.>

the "." is the prongs, and the <> are the mesh holes, I just yanked it in and it stays on snug.

Where did you buy this at? I can't seem to find it anywhere online. Thanks!

Hi guys! Just got back from vacationing in Orlando, Fla. Back to the original problem: my emblem also has the prongs (one bigger than the other) but the thing is that if I press the bottom of it, the top doesn't touch the grille. Looks like the center of the grille is supposed to be flat, but it's rounded. Did you bend the grille at all???

Question for you guys with after market grilles. The dealer where I bought my car at wants to charge me $400 for the Trendz grille w/ emblem, install, and tax. Does this seem like a fair price? Said they would cover it under the factory warranty. Any advise would be appreciated.

i agree with Tek. thats seem way too steep. all you need is a phillips screwdriver and 15 minutes. save yourself the dough. my streetscene grill took was way too easy to install.

good luck
