to the 4th genners who cut out their own headrests...
how much clearance was there under the surface until the metal support? i cut out my 3rd gen headrest, but at one point, there's only .5 inch of clearance. i need about 1.25" to 1.5" of clearance to mount my shroud. anybody know? or have pics?

 

I had to tuck my shrouds into the headrest. There is no metal plate inside the headrest, only the metal tubing used as the posts. If you unclip the plastic on the bottom of the headrest, you can look into it and see what I mean.
