What tire size for 18x8 350z rims? These rims are up for sale now. $450 shipped

Do you guys think 245/40/18 tires will work on the 350z rims on a 02 max without rubbing? I had 18x7.5 04 max wheels with that tire size and they did not rub. Only thing that is different is the offset. The 04 max wheels are 40mm offset and the 350z are 30mm offset. I take it the 30 will stick out more right? so I realy dont see why that tire size would rub? What do you guys think?

I have 245/40/18's BFG G-Force on '04 Z-wheels on my '00 Maxima. The only scrub I had was on the rear fender. Where the bumper section and the fender join there is a little lip that will touch when you go over bumps with anything in the truck or back seat. I cut the corner of the lip off with tin-snips and haven't had a single problem since. Any the 245's look good on the 8" rim.

Go with 235/40/18...that is a better size for 18x8 with 30mm offset. It will give you a perfectly vertical sidewall, which is ideal for handling. The 245 will give a slightly slanted sidewall.

By the way, here's what that offset looks like with 235/40/18 tires (these are G35 rims, which are the same size/offset)

i am the man 2 talk 2, i just put 2003 350'z rims on my car last week, ok heres what you gota do, get 225/45/r18. they are the right fit, nooooooooooo rubbing at all and its the correct replacement for the stock sizeing (dosent mess the speedometer up at all, i actually checked the speedometer with the new tires WITH A POLICE RADAR DETECTOR and they both matched!!!), go to www.tires.com, it will send you to discount tires direct, get the nitto 555 extreme, they are Z rated and they are $124, the cheepest, best tires i could find in that size, everyone else wanted $170 to even $320 a tire. if u need to call, talk to jay at ext 451, he is the one who placed me in this tire and he knows the rims and the 2002 maxima and he will tell you why this tire size is the best!!
good luck and p.m. me telling me how everything went.

Definitely agree with the 235/40 suggestions... I have that size on my 18x8 ASA wheels, and they are perfect (IMO).
