they do, but there is a huge thread that i have been looking for (pages long) that is a hotshot vs. cattman header thread?, and i believe one of the points that came from that thread was that the hotshot headers made for the 5.5 gens also fit us 5th gens

you removed the EGR didnt you. IF u do that i heard many problems begin brewing with the car.

That my friend is a false statement. I have them on my 2000 fed spec and my car now runs fine. Many of the 4th gen guys have removed their egr system w/ no problem

 

Chris max if that is the case i will need to speak to you a lil more. Since Im not that sure about it. If this is so i will begin my purchase on Hotshot headers. Do you know if they are still forsale?

I've had mine on since the begining of winter.... they provide very nice gains and nice sound to go along with. No I don't have a dyno chart, but I do have a few EVOs under my belt now

I guess I am the only one that thinks obvious posts such as "I can tell the difference in power with headers," and "I can tell the difference in handling with springs & struts" are pretty lame and why bother stating the obvious. It's great that the dude has headers and can tell a difference, but why post one sentence about it?

i can tell the difference because I have been driving now for about 20 yrs and i know my car.

I got a deal so I can't post. It took them a couple of days due to keeping the egr.

well i just had my car put on some tien s tech and illuminas last night by redmax and i can tell the difference. So what the he!l are you saying??? This is my personal findings for my car. Also I posted one line but have received many responses that I am now answering. It is great that I have headers because that is what i wanted, not to just post that on the org. you can say whatever you want, that type of thing does nothing for me.

yes they will fit an 01'. You will pass emissions.

 

where did you get the headers?

 

as long as the main cat is still in tact with no ses codes, you should pass emissions as i did. might be more strict in CA but you should be fine elsewhere.

 

You should've specified price, install details, etc.. Not just I got them installed I can tell a difference ...

did you install an O2 sim? if so how is it?

I am having mine installed next wends and I will be putting on the O2 sim from O2simulator.com, I have a cali spec so I dont have to deal with the EGR, but I have to hook the O2 sim upto two secondary O2 sensors.

I cannot wait to have them installed, my brother is installing them in the shop he works at so I will also be getting a good deal on the install ( It would be free but I will be tying up his lift for a few hours so they have to charge me something...). I am also having my Motostorm UDP installed at the same time and hope to have an induction service done as well.

 

Well you know you're going to get bombarded by these questions anyhow ... But you haven't seemed to answer any of these so I guess your post was just that, to inform you got them installed and they feel good...
