How good is the BOSE system in the 04+

Before i replace the radio in the Max, wondering about the quality of the Bose unit..Anyone have the spec's? Looking at installing an Alpine CDA 9847, and upgrading all speakers..Just hoping to hear from someone who knows..

If you replace them with aftermarket speakers powered off the radio, youll have absolutely no bass. As much as I hate Bose, if I was starting from scratch with audio, I probably would either replace only the radio to keep the bose amp/sub, or replace the entire thing, add a sub and all. My .02.

I hope you plan on amping those type x's with something other than the head unit amp. Not a bad start, just curious how much are you getting the type x mids/highs for.
