yea i mean: i have a z32 maf waiting to be installed... but i don't have a jwt ecu yet, and i read somewhere that if you install the z32 with a stock ecu then the air mixture will be messed. So i was wondering if the safc2 will correct for the bigger maf.

I did some testing using a Z32 maf with my oem ecu and adjusting using the SAFC. I logged runs using a wideband O2, so I had accurate afr data. I found that at high rpm and about 11 psi boost I had to add in about 25% to get the afr down to 12.5:1. The oem timing map is too far advanced for boosting above 10 psi, though, and I had pretty severe detonation after 6000 rpm. For low boost levels it might be okay.

With the JWT ecu I have never had detonation, boosting up to 14.5 psi.

Basically what Stephen Max said...

It can be done with just the S-AFC on lower boost, like 5-6 psi, but it will be hard to get a good tune out of it. The correction factors will be all over the place.
