Injector Install Question
Well I started alittle late today and didnt plan on getting this far before dark but I got the manifold off...everything went pretty good
Now I have the injectors to take out...I got all 12 cap screws off and the Injectors dont wanna budge...Does the Fuel Rail have to be removed to pull the injectors out or do they Pull right out of the top without removing the Fuel Rail ?? I tried pulling one and only spun around, didnt wanna come OUT...
This is Question #1 out of probably many in the next couple days
...thanks guys

You MUST use WD40...trust me, it makes all the difference in the world.
I had a rail in my hand and couldn't budge the buggers. Then I used a little WD40 around the tops and they popped out easily.

Im gonna take the Fuel Rail off cause I forgot that I bought the Fuel Rail Isolators already and im gonna change them out too
Taking the Fuel Rail off, just un-bolt and it should come right off, right ?? then on a bench, Ill take the injectors out
When Reinstalling them, do I used WD-40 or regular engine Oil ??
BTW: I looked in Chiltons and is sais on the O-Rings= One Upper One middle One Lower but on my 370's it looks like theres only One upper and one Lower ?? I guess ill know more once I get my stocks out

What I did was grip the top square section (not the harness connector) with a decent size pair of lock-pliers, and twist it while pulling up on it. It came out without too much trouble, although I forgot to depressurize the fuel system, and got a nice spray of gas when it came out.
I just used regular oil on the o-rings when I put it back in.

There's 2 o-rings on the injector itself... The larger one towards the connector, and the tiny one near the pintle cap. There is also a o-ring, if u want to call it that, that the injector seats into... It seats into an indentation in the lower intake plenum. That is all

First off you bench about 350lbs, he doesnt. Your a body builder Matty is not so he might not be able to pull them off---JK
You can grab a set of pliers, twist left to right, then grab a nice flat head screw driver and twist the screw driver. They will pop off easily. Thats my method!!!

Using plyers on the top of the injector is bad. you can really tear them up that way.
The proper way to do it is to remove the metal caps on top of each injectors. Then put the screws back in that held the metal caps. There are two pry spots on each side of the injector. Use two small flat head screw drivers and wedge the head of the screw drivers into the wedge spots using the screws as leverage and the injectors should pop out. Do use some lubricant to assist.

yeah they can be hell sometime. DOnt use plyers to get them out. I have broke a *** of injectors that way. just pry them out like mike said. if you use plyers use vise grips but dont clamp to hard. And yes use lube as needed
