Yet another BOSE question
Yet another BOSE question
I have a 2000 non bose car and have a 2003 BOSE 6disk HU sitting in my garage. I'd obviously like to install it and know that it doesn't have any sort of internal amp. I've been looking at after market amps to hook to it and power all of my door speakers. My question is did the stock BOSE amps have one per speaker or was there one unit to power all the door speakers and another to power the sub? If the door speaker amp was just one unit I'd like to pick one up and power all of my stock (NON BOSE) speakers instead of jacking with aftermarket.
I have a feeling there was a seperate amp per speaker at each of the doors though.

Would something like the work for me if I was going to just do an aftermarket amp? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...981237622&rd=1
I thought the PAC was geared toward people with BOSE already and wanting aftermarket speakers and amps but when I stop and think about it that's pretty much how I'd be setup, I'd already have the aftermarket speakers installed and just adding an amp.

IIRC, there was never any amp supplied to the speakers, I think there is a very small one for the sub. IMHO, I would suggest spending and extra $300 an upgrading the speakers if you are going to mess the the audio system...
