Increasing air flow to SC CAI

I've put in my SC CAI on the weekend and saw all that empty space behind the foglight after I took out the window washer reservoir. I've now started to entertain thoughts of adding some ducting. That right side inlet on the Stillen chin spoiler could be used for that purpose since its not cooling the right side brake at all. The cool air will then fill the empty space easier. Just looking at how the air gets in I could only see air getting in through the gaps around the foglights and that's not much space. Just wondering if anyone had done this for their setup.

I'd just be worried about water injestion when traveling behind a vehicle on a rainy day.

If you're not, sounds like a good plan if you just add some louvers behind the filter on the wheel-well liner for the air to escape through and not back up.

Ive entertained the thought of putting on another bend and bringing the filter right behind the fog light and taking the light out....the thing is, water concerns me even after a rain traveling behind a vehicle like IceY2K1 said.

I thought about water ingestion too but the inlet on the Stillen chin spoiler is quite high up off the ground and the air filter is even higher than that so I think that shouldn't be a problem.

Good idea about adding louvers in the backside to allow for flow-through.

As I was taking off the sc for the 3rd time in June alone (4 if I include our long Canada Day weekend) I bent the plastic inner wheel well flap (the part that goes underneath the window washer reservoir) and shaped it into a U so that it acted as a scoop just behind the brake inlet on the Stillen chin spoiler.
So on Saturday morning its p*ssing rain and when I mashed the pedal the bolt on the pulley became loose again. When I got home I noticed that the air filter had some waterdroplets! I've since decided to just re-tuck the plastic flap back to its original place.

Most likely your SC will atomize any water that gets past your air filter, unless you drive through a lake.
