Aftermarket headlights...

Curious... i know with my vw there were a couple options with headlights. For example..there was the plastics that didnt project light to well, then there was glass that was a clear difference. Im sick of this fogging inside the lense bs or whatever it is. The dealer cleaned it out one time, and it just came back after some heat. It happend to my cars plastics but only because the intercooler piping was behind it passing hot air through it. But im looking to know if theres any options with 02 maxima headlights. Any companies make a set that might not fog inside???

do you have the 5.5 gen HIDs? if so, i would definitely keep those..no matter what headlights you get, there is always a chance that they will fog up...if i were you, i would just use some clear silicone sealant to make sure all of the seams are completely sealed....in terms of other options for headlights, the only other way i (personally) would go is the 5th gen AE headlights....but several others have bought the ebay projectors and have done HID projector swaps, which result in the best light quality, but to me, it sounds like you're not really the daring type, so i'm not sure if you would want to do that....

yeah id say hold on to the 2002 lights. but if you are the "Darring" type go out and get the ebay projectors, and do the Retro w/some HID's. i did mine yesterday, and WOW!! the light out put is amazing, and they are alot brighter, and have a nicer color than the 2002 Hid's. W/some help from Dr. Roy it took us like 6 or 7 hours. Thanx Roy.

If you have cracked the cases apart, they are not sealing up very well, so stick those bad boys back in the oven and re-seal them with some high-temp silicone, then put some plastic polish on 'em. If you haven't opened them up before, just get some plastic polish and rub on 'em. I used some stuff from Autozone and it worked okay, but xlcrew had some 3M 2 step stuff I used that was the bomb and they are totally clear now. Check out my page for pics. You can see the old pics of my fogged up ones, and the pic that has the cases painted black is after the 3M stuff. Good luck.

Condensation is building up due to fog, after a rain, etc. None the less it's been said a couple of time but the only way to get rid of it is to re-seal them. That's it!
As for the first question keep your 02's and clean em up and re-seal em, you just can't beat the look cosmetically imo.

There was a thread on those headlights very recently. It was started by Ephraim I believe. Read a few pages back and you will find it.
