Battery Dying, Alternator for 2001,

I was looking to replacing my Alternator for my 01 SE because my battery keeps on dying and having to put it on a charger, my alternator is working but not pushing out enough,

Anyone know of the best Alternator for the car?

Wont need a performance Alternator unless your running a lot of electrical components. If not just get a new or rebuilt stock one. Check local auto stores. Prices should start around $180.

Well, my prices iver gathered from local atuo parts stores were around 220 plus 60-85$ core charges, so thats 280-300 up front(auto zone and advance onyl palces i checked)... i said screw it and bought my alternator off ebay, its a hitachi brand new 140(30 over the stock 110 rating) amp alternator, cost me 160 shipped(i got it in 2 days) and there was no core charges they also sell a normal 110 amp alt for less 110 plus shipping it hink it was...the place says theres a 1 year warrenty on the item, and it seems like a reputable alternator shop out in cali.... but so far so good had it on the car over a month and all is great.... i can find there ebay id and phone number if interested. let me know....

the alternator was alot easier than i first thought..... doing it for the first time it took me a little longer than it should getting it out....but the reinstall puttin everything back was a breeze..... but u take it our from the bottom, and u have too unbolt the AC compressor, it has 4 bolts, and then the alternators 2 bolts.........but anyways...im sure someone else on here might know a lil bit more. if not id be more than willing to answer any questiosn but im far from an expert, just a DIYer.........but heres the guys user ID and there number Ebay ID= roomik70 phone number =310 530 6410 i called them talked too them seemed like they knew alot about there products and even my car... so i went with them.... o yea here is there ebay store weblink Alternator also it says the fixed shipping price is good for hawaii also....... check em out...
