Throwing Codes Out All Over the Place Help!

Well it's time for an inspection and now I have to deal with my CEL. HELP! My car runs great too. If I turn off the light it comes right back. I'm nervous that if I bring it to a mechanic or the stealership they will start replacing sensors left and right and that will mean one thing BIG BUCKS. I went to Autozone and they pulled the following codes:

Po420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
Po430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)
From the research I've done these codes above could mean an exhaust leak 02 sensor or the Cat is not working properly.

1145 Mass Flow Sensor
My car shows no signs of a bad MAF. It pulls strong and is a little rocket. Should I try cleaning the MAF and changing/cleaning the air filter?

Any advice would be appreciated. I heard that the dealer will replace my cat if that is the problem. But I'm sure they will add in several hundred dollars to the bill.. Why because they are the stealership.

Had the same CEL code, took it under warranty and the stealership just said the exhaust parameters needed to be adjusted, whatever the hell that means! Well the code went away and has not come back....yet (and if it does, i'll think of something to twist the warranty system, my car has 62k).

hey dude if you got the 420 code then there is a possibility that all you need is a reprogram for the ecm--warranty is 8yr/80,000 miles for that--and the bulletin only applies for 2000 cali spec maxis & all 2001 maxis. other than that you'll probly need to replace the cats(y-pipe has 2 pre cats in it thats y it is so expensive).

and for the maf sensor code---again for the 2k and 2k1 there is a reprogram--and you have to replace the maf sensor as well as the air filter element--air filter only on warranty applications--you really shouldn't try to clean it because the maf sensor is also has the IAT sensor in it as well and the filaments in the sensor are sensitive--so trying to clean it would ruin it---
