Cluster Illumination Lights go out

I have been having a weird problem for sometime now. Can't seem to figure out the cause.

The screen on my cluster that shows temp/mpg, ect. illumination at night seems to go out and back on at times.

I've taken the cluster out and fooled around with the light itself and it seemed normal. Any one have any ideas on what to look at next?

The little metal tab tht connects the light bulb to the power on the board is loose. You can carefully bend it back or just replace it. Choice is yours
