NEW PRODUCT- Samco hoses

I have been meaning to repleace my Getting older and older radiator hoses with some new ones and a idea poped into my head, why not get some nice strong silicone hoses that are in a diff color ? Then I got down back to earth to realize that we can't get any of that stuff for our cars. So I contacted Samco expressing the need for some silicone hoses. Figuring alot of people might like a little bit of "bling" along with some functionality.

Here is a picture of a STI with some radiator and other hoses from Samco ( any hose that is red in that kit is Samco).

I got a response from a shop here it goes.
Hey Mike,
My name is Andrew from Motovicity Distribution and we are an Official U.S.
Importer for the SAMCO Sport product line. We recieved your email from
SAMCO in the U.K and they wanted us to get in touch with you pertaining to
your Nissan Maxima hose kits.

The way that we do things like this is, you can send us the hoses that
should be made for this car like the top and bottom radiator hoses (maybe
even a few other hoses), we will send them to SAMCO in the U.K and we can
have them made. We need to know that these will sell and would like to get
confirmation of about 25-30 people that will actually purchase these kits
before production.

Lastly, if this deal were to go through we dont believe we would look at
this as any kind of "group buy" we would most likely filter the kits through
the retail organizations that we currently deal with to sell them on the
retail market.

Hope this gives you a good idea of where this idea can go. Let me know if
you have any questions or comments. Thanks.

Andrew

I'm going to send them a set of hoses to replicate, I'm thinking upper and lower radiator hoses, coolant overflow bottle hose and possibly those small hoses that run infront of the engine- 2 pipes that are infront of the front valve cover, they got like 2 small hoses on them.

WHO IS INTERESTED ?

I always like adding a little bling to my bay. I'm in.

Oh, and obviously, I'll take mine in red. Any idea on price?

I just checked the part #s online for different hoses and here is what I came up with...

VQ30DE-K
G2000-46833 upper
G2000-124130 lower
G2020-123874 bypass hose

VQ35DE
G2000-124163 upper
G2000-124164 lower
G2020-123874 bypass hose

VQ30DE
G2000-46833 upper
G2000-177865 lower
G2020-123874 bypass hose

Nissan loves having 10 diff part #s for the same part, so I need to check it physically in order to say that the 4th gen, 5th and 5.5 gen hoses are the same. This might be a question for DaveB. If they are pretty much the same I will send them the hoses so they can make some for us. As for the color they have hoses in red, blue etc.

I would be interested...it's almost time to replace all that stuff anyhow. Price, of course, will be the deciding factor...

I'm guessing around 150 bux for the hoses, right now I need to tripple check to make sure that the hoses are the same. I will be meeting up with some friends tonite and will scoop out their rides. According to Nissan part #s they are different, but I was just looking up axles for a 4th gen and 5th gen 5spd and even thou you can use eighter axle in eighter car, the part #s are different. So I'm hopping all the VQ powered cars have the same hoses. I will send them a set once everything is settled, if the hoses are diff - looks like lower hoses are the only ones that might be, I will send them lower hoses for each Generation VQ powered Maxima. When ordering you will just tell them if you got a DE, DEK or 3.5.

samco = dope.

you know, if it was hose techniques that put out the kit i would pass on it. but samco makes top of the line product. used them on my supra and eclipse projects with nothing but praise. count me in.

Does anyone have a "birdseye" view of the 4th gen and 5.5gen engine ? I would like to see what do the hoses look like in comparison to my 5th gen. GBAUER has a pic of his engine but it doesn't show how the hose attaches to the engine all to well. Nissan doesn't have 5th and 5.5 gen hoses in stock so I can't compare em. Give me a few days and I will have everything figured out and will mail Samco the hoses so they can make us some hoses

They will not come in chrome color, they are not stainless steel, but silicone. Check out their site for more info on diff colors they have.

UPDATE-

5.5gen and 3.5L Altimas share the same radiator hoses, looks like the Murano uses the same hoses. I ordered up those hoses from Nissan to send in to Samco.

5th gen and 4th gens use the same hoses, I got those on order also. I also got the radiator overflow tank (one next to the washer fluid filler neck) hose that runs to the radiator neck- they are the same on all VQ powered FWD Nissans.

I will have the hoses from Nissan sometime this week or monday of next week. Then its off to Samco for them to work something out.
If everything goes well, we should have our hoses done by end of August.

I will post updates as I receive em.

Hoses

I would really like the Samco Hoses to clean up the engine bay. I know HPAutoworks has them but for a 350Z and WRX. Heres the link so you can see what they look like.

Uhhh.... the black stockers are, uh, black....

Use some armor-all on them or tire shine and they'll clean up nicely. And, yes, sadly, I actually armor-all my engine as well as wax my cover. Sad, very, very sad.

I need a life...

judging from the prices of the Samco hoses for Subarus, I'd bet that a full set for the Maxima will be around $200.....

do they provide any advantage over stock parts, or do they just look nice? If it is just for looks, I rather put my money else where...

$150 is alot for hoses.

This may be a stupid question, but im a stupid person so, any idea if these would have any warrintys, or anything? my belts have lifetime, why not hoses? from what i can tell my hoses are still good, but i could always use more blue in my bay!

Oh I know exacly what you mean. There are soooo many companies and .org members promissing us the moon, yet no one delivers. Where is the nice MaximaZero body kit in utherane ? where is the 3" catback exhaust for the turbo guys ? Where are all these turbo kits that have been in development ? I been on here for a long time and I know that its hard to make a product, but most companies just say something- don't show any pictures and its hard to buy a product you do not know what it looks like or performs.

This deal will happen, I will make sure.
